Drop by Ebisu the next time you are in Richmond. Bring a big appetite!

Ebisu in Richmond, an affiliate of Kamei Group, is a traditional Japanese restaurant serving delectable inexpensive Japanese cuisine. Ebisu markets itself as Richmond’s best restaurant. A claim that is hard to refute. The food is fresh, delicious and well presented in a pleasant dining atmosphere.

The restaurant easily accommodates large groups and has tatami rooms for traditional Japanese style dining. It is conveniently located in Central Richmond one block south of the Canada Line Lansdowne Station at the corner of Ackroyd Road and No. 3 Road.

Ebisu offers a variety of Japanese specialties, such as bento boxes, grilled robata dishes, rice bowls, miso ramen, sashimi, sushi, tapas, and much more. The restaurant has daily drink specials and a Beer and Sake Fest seven days a week from 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.

My friends and I ordered Lunch Boats with miso soup and all the green tea you can drink. We ordered two Chicken Teri and Roll Boats and one BBQ Unagi and Sashim Boat, which was enough food for five people.

The BBQ Unagi and Sashimi Boat came with BBQ Unagi on rice, three pieces of tuna, two pieces of salmon, two pieces of hokki clam sashimi, and prawn and vegetable tempura.

The Chicken Teri and Roll Boat had BBQ chicken teriyaki, ebi sunomono, dynamite and California rolls, and prawn and vegetable tempura. The food was plentiful, delicious and reasonably priced.

Reservations are recommended.

No tatami rooms at present. Many big-screen TVs showing hockey game. Food was good. Service good.
