The Capilano River Regional Park is located in the District of North Vancouver in British Columbia. It is one of 21 regional parks operated by Metro Vancouver, and encompasses most of the upstream areas of the Capilano River below the Cleveland Dam. The park has an eight kilometre (five mile) hiking trail that runs from Capilano Lake to Ambleside Park in the District of West Vancouver. The area north of the dam surrounding Capilano Lake is closed to the public as it is a Greater Vancouver Regional District watershed. The privately operated Capilano Suspension Bridge crosses the river, but it is not within park boundaries and does not access the park.

The Capilano River Hatchery is situated about 500 metres downhill from the Cleveland Dam. The hatchery offers educational displays and provides basic education about the life cycles of fish in the area. There is a display of an active fish ladder, which is heavily used by fish to bypass the dam during spawning seasons.
