The Honorable South has been rockin New Orleans with its foot-stomping electric soul rock-n-roll for almost a decade. First formed in 2008, the band consists of Charm Taylor, Matthew Rosenbeck, Charles Lumar II, Jamal Batiste and Danny Kartel. Their distinctive high-energy sound is a progressive mix of Americana, blues, electro-funk, rock and soul.

In 2009, they released their first EP, Dirty in the Light, followed by I Love My Tribe and Faithful Brave and Honest. The band’s musical style is a blending of genres honoring the Big Easy’s tradition of melding different styles of music to produce a sound that is uniquely their own. The Honorable South performs across the United States and is a popular band at festivals throughout Louisiana. They rocked the Tropical Isle Hand Grenade Stage at the 2015 French Quarter Festival and performed at the 2015 New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival.
