The Lonsdale Quay Market is located in Lonsdale Quay at the foot of Lonsdale Avenue in North Vancouver. The quay is situated on the former site of North Van Ship Repair, a major shipyard during World War II. The market began as a carnival-style marketplace during Expo ’86, and has since developed into a diverse, multi-use community.

Lonsdale Quay Market provides a distinctive retail experience and is a popular North Shore destination. Twenty-six years after opening its doors, the market celebrates its rich diversity with approximately 80 fresh food vendors, artisans, restaurants, retail shops, and the Lonsdale Quay Hotel. Vendors sell a variety of artisan cottage-industry foods and handmade crafts. A multitude of merchants sell breads, cheese, flowers, fresh pasta, produce, and seafood.

Community events and concerts given by local bands are held on the waterfront plaza. Visitors can climb the 77 steps to the top of the Q Tower for the best view in the city. A view of the Vancouver harbour can be seen from the plaza outside the market, which is located adjacent to the Charles A Spratt SeaBus Terminal and the Lonsdale Quay Bus Loop.

The Lonsdale Quay Market is open seven days a week. The food market is open from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM and the retail shops are open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM. The restaurants are open later in the evening.
